7 Tips to overcome a heartbreaking breakup




There was a time you believed he is your soulmate, that he is the one for you and nothing could change that « fact ». But for a reason or another, this relationship had to come to an end. It is so painful that it haunts you up, but it is a truth that must be accepted, and instead of seeing it as an end, it can be a good start of a new chapter in your life if you follow these tips :



Take some time on your own :



If the break-up suddenly happened, then you’d need time to believe again that this person is out of your life. Listen to Adel or Beyoncé, eat some chocolate and take your time to feel those emotions that come with the break-up. If it really hurts, just admit it. Say it out loud to yourself.

            It is okay to cry but don’t overrate it :



Yes, you got dumped, betrayed or however your love story ended, but it doesn’t mean that you’re going to spend whole day and whole week stuck in your bedroom crying over it, it’s not worth this drama anyway. « If it was good, it would have stayed » say it, believe it.

            Spend time with people that you love and love you back :


Now that you believe deep inside that this man is out if your life, get dressed up, put on a red lipstick, mascara and call a good friend of yours and hang out together. You may talk about the break-up for a while, but not that whole time, you don’t want to ruin your mascara anyway. Plus there is a lot in life to talk about:

Get yourself busy :


If you notice that you have free time that you just spend it dwelling on the same story then you’ve got to get yourself busy, watch a movie, do shopping , work out, cook.. Do anything you enjoy instead of thinking of the break-up.

       Don’t contact him :


If he’s no good for you, and coming back together isn’t a good idea, then you better not contact him. Delet his phone number, don’t stalk him on social media so that you can clear your mind. In that phase you don’t want anything or anyone affecting your decisions. Especially not him !

        Try new things :


You surely need do do something new so that you can feel refreshed and your confidence wouldn’t be shaken. A new look or a new hair cut is what most women do after a break-up, because why not ! hair can always grow up again. Or try other activities : take cooking lessons, spanish courses in case that would help you in your studies or work. There’s a bunch of new activities that you may try and that would certainly help you.

Don’t rush things :


Don’t jump into a new relationship right after the last one, otherwise you would just make things more complicated. Take your time to figure things out, settle down, make plans for your life and focus on them to take the right decisions. You surely don’t want to make mistakes right after a break-up.
